Touch Tones

Issue 2.3

This was a fun issue! As the title indicates, it's based around the sound of the telephone. What information services are still available by phone? What fun and unique numbers are out there?

Well, I called them and recorded the responses!

The poems on here are Witness Through Glass by myself and On the Doc by And Now Miguel.

I switched to a new cassette shell as well – the classic black and white. So I had to use two different sharpie colors. And, these now included 100% more typewriter! I typed the spine of the JCard with the serialization.

As always, I listed all the producers on the JCard itself. Maybe by next week go check out Driver8 Records in Fort Collins and ask Charlie if the tapes are there.

I'm not sure what the next issue's theme will be. But this one and the last one had a distinctive sound that I'm quite happy with.

Oh yeah, call 1-877-BIT-LOFI to hear a fun interactive voice menu. It's now all setup. You can prefix the number with *67 if you want to turn off your CallerID – a fact that has been apparently lost by time. Don't worry, I won't pick up.

There are only 20 of these tapes so if you want one, send a postcard in noooooowwww!
